New Features in BDRSuite v7.6.0

  • Hyper-V Fail-back Support
Offers two flexible fail-back choices for Hyper-V
    1. Fail back to a new virtual machine
    2. Fail back to the original virtual machine with data synchronization

Furthermore, you can finalize or undo the fail-back process after recovery, minimizing downtime.

  • Restore Token Email Authentication
Adds an extra layer of security by requiring end-user approval via secure, token-based email authentication for all restore actions, ensures that only the authorized data owner can initiate restores.
  • Automatic Network Mapping & IP Remapping for Hyper-V Replica VMs
Automatically maps network and IP settings during Hyper-V fail-back, eliminates the need for manual network adjustments and enables a quicker, smoother recovery process.
  • Linux Remote Proxy Support
BDRSuite now supports the installation of remote proxies on Linux systems, which was previously only accessible for Windows. With this version, users can set up the remote proxy on Linux and Windows computers, offering consistent backup management in various settings. With this functionality, businesses are able to manage backups more efficiently, regardless of operating system.

Enhancements in BDRSuite v7.6.0

  • System Partition Security: Volume ID is now used to handle system reserved partitions rather than drive letters.
  • File Backup Performance Improvements: Optimized file change tracking and better handling of empty directories reduce the load during backups.
  • Multi-Tenant Remote Proxy Support: Improved user interface for multi-tenant environments with support for both remote proxy and server-added hosts.
  • Backup Integrity Check in Free Edition: The Free Edition now supports backup integrity verification, improves reliability for users on the free tier.
